Honestly felt like Orbot in Unleashed could've been a better dynamic alongside Eggman than adding in Cubot. I know they comprise the "two idiot henchman" trope, but having Cubot questioning Eggman's plans and having more of a dry sense of humor to tick him off sounds more appealing. Eggman would get to be in more conversations besides his usual.

Orbot and Cubot are Eggman's bumbling lackeys from the Sonic the Hedgehog games. True to their names, Orbot is a red-colored robot that can retract into a small orb, while Cubot is a yellow-colored robot that can retract into a small cube.

Orbot's model number "SA-55" is a pun on the word 'sass', a word which fits Orbot's personality. Cubot's number, "IDI-07", is a similar pun based on idiot. Unlike their video game counterparts, Orbot and Cubot don't seem to float in the air very often while moving or standing. Instead they usually stay on the ground and hop to where they need.
